Once we are ready, to download a YouTube video we paste the URL in the main screen, and the process starts automatically.
Now, if we right-click the video → “Open Source File Location”…

So, if we want to convert this video file to a different format, we head to the upper right corner to select a profile. There, we will find a wide variety of formats to choose from.
Then, we move to the basic settings at the bottom right of the screen to change them according to our preferences. The most important ones are the output folder, the video size, and the quality of the video.
Under the basic settings category, we will see the video options that include the selection of the codec, the bitrate, and the framerate.

To ensure that ClipConverter is free from malware, we scanned the website with VirusTotal. One antivirus software out of 66 classified ClipConverter as malicious.
However, this must be a false positive detection because all the top Internet security brands found the app safe.
So, if we decide to use this service, we paste the URL of the YouTube video in the corresponding field.
Once we press “Continue,” a new browser window will appear redirecting us to an advertising page. Then, we close this window and move back to the official ClipConverter website.
Now, as we can see, we can select the video quality and the conversion format. The last thing we have to do is to click the “Start” button.
Here, we have to say that during the above process our computer was protected with BitDefender Antivirus, and no malicious event occurred.
